Nathan Ellis, an Australian cricket player, was born on September 22, 1994. In August 2021, he made his international cricket debut for the Australian cricket team. He created history by becoming the first cricketer to take three wickets in a Twenty20 International (T20I) match on his debut. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Meredith was named to a preliminary 26-player roster on July 16, 2020, to start training in preparation for a potential tour to England.  Cricket Australia said on August 14, 2020, that the matches would go ahead and that Meredith would be traveling with the team.

Meredith was selected for Australia’s Twenty20 International (T20I) team in January 2021 for their series against New Zealand. On March 3, he made his international debut. Meredith was selected for Australia limited overs team in June 2021 in preparation for their tours of Bangladesh and the West Indies.  On July 22, 2021, Meredith played in his first One Day International (ODI) for Australia against the West Indies.
